   Welcome to the website of Katharine Houk, designer and creator of beautiful and interesting wearable art. Some of this artwear is for clergy and churches, including custom stoles for people from a wide variety of faiths and spiritual groups.  Techniques used for these stoles include appliqué, reverse appliqué, embroidery, couching, quilting, and fabric printing and painting. Prices range from about $60 for a simple stole to $500 or more for elaborate stoles.


    But that’s not all. On this website you will discover not only vestments and other items for ritual, but also wearable art for fun and fantasy, bags and backpacks, cloth books, wall-hangings, and more. All items are original and handmade.
